Our Network

We believe is crucial to engage with key stakeholders to promote impactful use of our findings and develop optimum dissemination strategies.

We work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across the UK including, NHS clinicians, health and social care professionals, community groups and patient associations, scientific societies, local authorities, policymakers, funders, and the general public.

We are well connected with networks of national and international experts including Evidence Synthesis Ireland, the Health Improvement Scotland Evidence Review Committee, the MRC-NIHR Trial Methodology Research Partnership, the Irish Health Research Board Trial Methodology Research Network, the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network, and the Social Care Institute. We have also close links with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, Cochrane, and the Ireland Campbell Centre.

The Ireland GRADE Network was established in 2025 and includes centres in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Network’s Northern Ireland Lead (ABEC Member, Sinéad Duggan) is based at our partner site, Queen’s University Belfast. The Ireland GRADE Network aims to build capacity and expertise in the use of GRADE methodology across the island of Ireland, supporting healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to make evidence-informed decisions. The Network provides training workshops, mentorship programmes, and practical resources to support the application of GRADE in systematic reviews, clinical guidelines, and health technology assessments.
